Hicham is Strategic Advisor covering Equity Investments & Synergies at BMCE Bank of Africa supporting the non-organic growth of the group. He has also developed a Panafrican Entrepreneurship program. Before, he was Head of the Group Market Risk at BMCE Bank of Africa managing the Group’s market risk exposures from London to Madagascar. Previously, Hicham was in charge of financial and business plan modeling at Acambis, a Cambridge-Massachusetts and Cambridge-UK based biotech company, focused on developing and analyzing model variables for venture development funding and investment decision-making needs. He has also served in several senior management positions volunteering for national and international organizations covering sustainable development and sport management.
Mr. Alaoui earned his MBA from the Boston University Graduate School of Management. He is as well an alumnus of “the International Management Program at Sanyo” in Kobe – Japan – and has undertaken Computer Science & Modelling training at Harvard University. He has successfully passed CFA Exams Level II. He is fluent in 4 languages, and has been a public speaker in several professional and academic organizations.
